Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 23, 2026

1. Our Commitment to Your Privacy

At Conflict Room, we understand that relationship communication is highly sensitive. Our core philosophy is built on Insights, Not Interception. We are committed to helping you communicate better while strictly protecting the raw content of your conversations.

2. What We Collect and How We Process It

  • Text Messaging Rooms: Messages are processed to identify language that may increase escalation and to offer optional coaching or suggested rewording before a message is sent.
  • Audio Argument Rooms: Audio is temporarily recorded on your device, securely transmitted for transcription, and immediately discarded from our servers once the AI analysis is complete. We do not store audio files.
  • Account Information: We store basic authentication information, such as your email address and provider identifiers, to manage your account and access. Device biometrics may be used by Apple, Google, or your operating system; Conflict Room does not receive or store biometric templates.

3. The Therapist Sharing Model (Important)

If you use Conflict Room via a license provided by a mental health professional or therapist, it is critical that you understand what they can and cannot see:

  • WHAT THEY CANNOT SEE: Your therapist never has access to the raw text messages, audio recordings, or direct transcripts of your conversations. Your exact words remain private to you and your partner.
  • WHAT THEY CAN SEE: Your therapist may receive high-level, AI-generated conversation patterns. These can include aggregate Communication Scores (Calmness, Clarity, Empathy), general themes, and suggested topics to consider in a future session. These outputs are not clinical findings or diagnoses.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

You own your data. You may delete your account and all associated session history at any time directly through the Profile settings. Once deleted, this information cannot be recovered.

5. Third-Party Processing

We use third-party service providers, including large language model providers such as OpenAI, to generate communication coaching and reflection. Relevant content is transmitted through secured APIs only when needed to provide the requested feature and is handled under the provider controls and contractual terms applicable to our account.

6. Website Analytics

With your permission, our website uses Google Analytics to understand page visits, general device and browser information, referrals, and interactions such as App Store or Google Play clicks. We do not send messages, audio, transcripts, relationship details, account email addresses, or other conversation content to Google Analytics. You may decline analytics when prompted; your choice is stored in your browser.
